A family-run painting and decorating contractor based in Leighton, Cheshire, serving commercial and domestic customers across Cheshire and surrounding areas.

JP Whyte Decorators combines established family trade experience with a growing focus on commercial premises, schools, offices, property managers, dealerships and repeat contractor relationships.
That experience covers the details that make a programme workable: surface preparation, protection, access, product choice, other trades, drying time and a clear handover.

More than 40 years of practical painting and decorating experience is supported by Level 3 NVQ Diplomas in Decorative Finishing – Painting & Decorating (Construction), current CSCS Gold Skilled Worker cards and CITB Health, Safety & Environment testing.
The qualifications demonstrate formal competence; they do not mark the beginning of our experience. JP Whyte Decorators is fully insured and can provide RAMS and supporting documents where required.

How we work
Clear scope before the first coat.
A useful decorating quote should identify the rooms or elevations, surfaces included, known preparation, access requirements and finish being allowed for. We ask how the property will be used so the work can be planned realistically.
Colours, working hours, access and protection are agreed before work starts. Unexpected defects are discussed rather than covered without explanation, and the agreed areas can be checked at handover.
